ABAII | Academy of Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence Innovation
The Academy of Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence Innovation was officially established on January 10, 2024, according to the Certificate of Registration for Scientific and Technological Activities No. A-2657 issued by the Ministry of Science and Technology.
The ABAII academy operates under the Vietnam Blockchain Association according to decision number 05-2023/NQ-BLCVN dated December 20, 2023.
Context
Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence (AI) are two technologies that many countries, including Vietnam, consider top priorities for socio-economic development.
The global Blockchain market is expected to reach nearly 164 billion USD by 2029 and is expanding its applications into various fields beyond cryptocurrency, such as healthcare, logistics, and real estate.
By 2030, the value of tokenized real-world assets (assets encoded on the blockchain) is expected to account for 10% of global GDP, equivalent to 16 trillion USD.
In Vietnam, Blockchain and AI are among the 4 high technologies that the government prioritizes for investment and development (according to Decision 38/2020/QD-TTg).
Blockchain is being widely adopted, most notably in the financial sector (83%) and supply chain (40%). This technology is highly valued for its superior characteristics such as transparency, security, speed, and cost efficiency.
At the same time, AI is also expected to help increase labor productivity, optimize costs, and enhance the competitiveness of Vietnamese enterprises.
